Lekker lining helps to protect your curtains from sun and moisture damage, increasing the life of your curtains. The sun can fade and damage fabric over time, so a lining provides a protective layer from harmful UV light – not only for the face fabric, but also for your furnishings. While 80% and 100% Blackout lining provides the most protection from the sun, this polyester lining still helps to create a barrier to a heavier curtain.
Lining not only provides functional benefits for your windows but it can also add fullness to your curtains to help them hang better.
With an extra layer of protection, your curtains will last longer and help prevent colours from fading to maintain a clean, crisp look as the lining can protect the fabric from dust and direct sunlight.
Depending on the type of lining, it can provide different levels and types of insulation.
Lekker lining, like a sateen, has a low luster sheen, which adds an element of luxury and class. It is available in roll widths of 240cm and 280cm, in white and cream.
Lekker lining is made from 100% Polyester, and is therefore easy to clean and maintain.Polyester is a synthetic fibre that is extremely durable; resistant to mildew; excellent at retaining their colour and they hold their shape well which means it doesn’t wrinkle easily. The downside of polyester is that stains can be difficult to remove.
